Learn why Australian Crushing & Belting Group has expanded into Victoria, Tasmania, SA and WA
For years, customers have been reaching out to us with the same question: “When will Australian Crushing & Belting Group open near us?” They’ve shared stories of costly downtime and the challenges of sourcing reliable parts and equipment locally. The demand for ACBG’s high-quality products and dependable service has been clear, and we’ve listened. Downtime costs money, and our customers wanted the assurance of having ACBG’s trusted solutions closer to their operations.
As such, ACBG has now opened warehouses in Victoria and Perth to service all states including Tasmania, South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Australia. These warehouses complement their sales offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. CEO, Keiron Munn stated that “this move marks a significant milestone for ACBG as it continues to grow its reputation as a reliable supplier of crushing equipment, conveyor belts, and spare parts across Australia.”
The opportunity to meet this demand came with our acquisition of Amsted’s operations in Australia. This strategic move not only strengthened our capabilities but also provided the foundation for expanding our footprint into key regions. By integrating Amsted’s resources and expertise with ACBG’s commitment to excellence, we’re now able to bring our trusted products and services closer to customers across Victoria and Western Australia. This expansion marks an exciting new chapter in our mission to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency for operations nationwide.
National Sales Manager, Jeff Steine lead much of the growth into Victoria and WA. “Every site we support is unique,” Jeff said. “Across the country, from mining, recycling and aggregates, the equipment needs and challenges are vastly different in each state. This means we need to take a more nuanced approach with our inventory support for customers.”
Strategic Locations, Local Support
ACBG’s new facilities in Melbourne and Perth were strategically selected for their proximity to key transport routes and major mining and quarrying operations. These branches will serve as hubs for spare parts, equipment, and support, enabling quicker response times for customers.
“The decision to expand was driven by a commitment to getting closer to our customers,” said Keiron. “We’ve always prioritised fast, reliable service, and these new locations reflect our dedication to minimising downtime and maximising productivity for our clients.”
The facilities are strategically stocked with relevant parts based on the unique requirements of each State. This ensures that ACBG can quickly address customer needs, whether it’s a replacement for a worn conveyor belt or maintenance for crushing equipment.
Closer to Customers, Faster Results
Previously, ACBG serviced Victoria and WA customers from its headquarters in Queensland, shipping parts across long distances. The new branches significantly reduce lead times, enabling customers to receive critical parts within hours rather than days.
“Downtime is expensive in this industry” Jeff explained. “A quarry or mine losing even a single day of production can cost tens of thousands of dollars. Having local parts and expertise makes all the difference.”
Building Relationships Across Regions
ACBG’s expansion is about more than just logistics—it’s about building stronger relationships with customers. The team has been making regular visits to sites in Victoria and WA to better understand their operations and provide tailored advice on equipment and maintenance.
“Every visit gives us a deeper understanding of our customers’ challenges and how we can help,” Jeff said. “In WA, for example, we’re focusing on supporting remote operations where reliability is absolutely critical.”
The company is also exploring partnerships with local distributors to further enhance its ability to supply parts and equipment.
Service Support
ACBG’s commitment to customer support goes far beyond supplying parts. Across the country, we offer comprehensive service solutions, including belt splicing services, crusher fitting, and advanced 3D scanning services. These offerings are designed to empower customers with the tools and expertise to maximise their equipment’s performance and longevity.
“Our services aren’t just about quick fixes—they’re about building capability,” Jeff explained. “Whether it’s expert belt splicing, timely fitting for crushing equipment, or leveraging cutting-edge 3D scanning for detailed analysis, we aim to help our customers optimise their operations and minimise downtime. It’s all about delivering long-term value for the entire operation.”
A Bright Future
The response to ACBG’s expansion has been overwhelmingly positive. Customers in both Victoria and WA have welcomed the company’s investment, recognising it as a significant step forward in addressing their needs.
“ACBG’s focus on customer support has always set it apart,” Keiron said. “This expansion is just the beginning—we’re committed to being a long-term partner for our customers in Victoria and WA.”
With its new branches, ACBG is not only strengthening its presence in two of Australia’s most important regions but also reaffirming its position as a trusted name in the mining and quarrying industry.
